Also, I saw that he's dating an actress. Hmmmm. I was beginning to think that maybe he's a bit queer, what with Milk and Howl and all. He and Sean Penn had great chemistry, but then again, Penn isn't queer as far as I know.

It was more the zomg-he's-not-just-pretty-but-also-ridiculously-brilliant factor. You know, taking three times the normal credit load and still GPAing 3.5, writing his thesis as a novel, and attending four different specialised programs at the same time, all while still acting, and now getting a frakking Ph.D. from Yale. The last person I know who was anywhere near that dedicated is William Rowan Hamilton.

(Though I never found him attractive, I must say. I can see why he's considered such, but...)

I do not know who William Rown Hamilton is, but I agree, Franco is obsessively involved with his intellectual pursuits. I spect he's one of those who somehow has time for EVERYTHING. Sleep when you're dead, and all.

I was gonna comment and be all "pans labyrinth!!!!" but you beat me to it.

omg true grit. did you see the trailer??? it looks so good!! have you seen "a serious man"? it didn't get much publicity but it was AMAZING.

also go see a movie called Winter's Bone. it was filmed on location in the ozarks!! like in poeple's houses. really interesting. and the main character is a girl who kicks some serious ass.
