I feel like this cartoon is much darker than probably intended. I understand it as people without proper care will turn to hurting others, but it seems to also imply that access to mental health care is so difficult, they tend to turn to hurting themselves and possibly even turning to suicide. Did anyone else read it that way?

Er, yeah, you might want to make sure you're not say, complaining about people who are mentally ill themselves and advocating because this sort of scaremongering results in attacks on mentally ill people

I'm so surprised about New Zealand.... They have a comparatively small population. I mean sheep out populate them 10 to 1. How did they get up there with violent crime numbers?
