(OOC: DERP. Fixing typo!)

[Robert isn't sure what to make of the answers he gets in return - especially that last one. And... TV?]1. Perhaps you should make a formal request to whatever passes for government of this place concerning the establishment of a hairdressing salon? Then it would simply be a matter of recruiting capable practitioners. That seems to be more or less how prior businesses here were founded. You would be doing the community a favour if you spearheaded the project, and it is obviously a cause that you support ( ... )

[A few moments of stunned silence here because that script was a. significantly more legible to Robert and b. actually very nice compared to Poland's normal writing.]

That may be so, but it was actually a very pleasant script to read. Though I suppose it would be unnecessary to write like that consistently...

I... had enough trouble simplifying my sentences for a certain Ms. Aislinn, so I doubt I could use your vernacular easily.

[It's always a little shocking when Poland actually seems to be smarter than he appears.]

Ya it totally sucked when I had to write like that so I usually made someone else do it

But why is simple harder?? I mean its called simple for a reason!

[It's so confusing to explain the concept that simple is difficult for somebody who can't conceptualize things without making them horribly overcomplicated.]

I suppose the reason is mainly because the meanings of simple words are not... profound enough for me to be at ease using them. [They also do strange things to his mind - like making it significantly easier to admit things he'd rather not admit, as Vivi saw. It's so much more comforting to Robert to be able to hide behind a layer of somewhat-obfuscated meaning.]

[And now Poland is even more confused.]

You are so weird

[Really, he doesn't mean to be so rude.]

[Instead of Robert reacting badly, though, the response is more... sad, than anything.]

Perhaps I am. It at least seems true here.

[But even at home, he was atypical in many ways.]

Dude this whole place is weird

[Poland tends to call everything weird. While everybody thinks he's weird. He's not one to take all that seriously.]

[Robert here can't read social context at all, so he wouldn't be able to tell that much anyway.]

That may be true indeed, but that does not change the fact that, even here, I am strange. Much of the physics and knowledge of the worlds here differs hugely from my own.

I still have yet to discern the purpose of the wings - or how they were attached.

The job was done remarkably well, admittedly. Though I resent the fact that it occurred without my permission... However, I cannot ignore the sheer skill with which it was done.

Do yours have a colour and pattern to them? From what I have observed of my own, they are nigh-identical to the wings of Pica pica - that is, the European magpie. I cannot understand why this is. Perhaps the Malnosso have a strange sense of humour?

Ah, so the pattern is not standard then. Hrm.

Perhaps it is simply meaningless. I have seen some strange colours so far.

A personality quiz? How so?

What would a magpie have to do with my personality? [Robert gently twitches one of the wings. It's odd to use his scapular muscles like that.]
