Yes, it's good that he has hope even if she can't bring herself to feel it given her background. It's also kind of nice to know that as much as she's gained with her new 'family' that they haven't been able to completely 'cure' here of all the pain that followed from her earlier life.

That said, cuddling with her honey in front of a cozy fire has got to be a definite plus. *g*

I'm not sure Buffy could ever be completely 'cured' of all her pain. I think most of it could be alleviated, but a small part of it would still be lurking. She's seen too much and had become too jaded to truly be able to release it all. Which makes moments like this and what healing she does even more precious. :D And wow, that was way too philosophic for a Saturday morning. :D

And cuddling in front of a fire is always a good thing. ;)
