I had someone randomly throw flour and water at me once when I was walking down the sidewalk.

People are assholes, douchebags, and general dicks. Trying to ascribe any more logic to it, is futile.

My body, too, jumps ridiculously. The other day I was at the bank, just sitting down, and my phone rang. Now, I get very very few calls and even though I was expecting this call my body nonetheless jumped so violently that my hands flew up and quite literally knocked my glasses off my face. Fortunately they landed safely in my lap and I got a good laugh out of it, but still, in the end, it's annoying not to have control over this reaction.
