Lion and the Lamb?

With the upcoming release of the film adaptation of Twilight into the theaters (November 21st) and the featured community regarding it , I thought I’d take some time to say a few words on the subject.

You may take a moment to ponder the significance of the date. If you follow popular culture you’ll notice that it’s the previous release date of the ( Read more... )

OMG!!!!

Say it ain't so. Say it ain't so that you are a fan of "Twilight" which is the bastard child of Harlequinn Romances and some cheesy old vampire flick.

My image of you is now completely shattered.

Going off to take up cutting now, to ease the inner pain.

PS

November 21 is my birthday--the fact that this abomination is being released on my birthday outrages me.

Sigh.

I'll be there, in the front of the line. . . With a Team Jacob shirt on.

And if you haven't read them, I wouldn't judge. They're sneaky in that even though the characters are HORRIBLE, they play on every single fantasy you could possibly have of staying young forever, being eternally happy, and finding your "one true love." You know, the one who doesn't actually exist in real life.

*twilight induced mush*

Of course, I also read fanfiction and enjoy silly things more than real things. So I, of course, enjoyed how abserdly typical everything Meyer wrote was. Sort of like a Joss Whedon show, only less awesome times a billion.

Look again.

Actually, I'm thinking about reading them, see what the fuss is about. I'm pretty sure I'll hate them, but I'm actually interested in seeing just how much I'll hate them, because hating pop culture things is fun, you know? I will definitely not be the most unbiased reader when and if I get around to them.

For a moment (like the others before me), I thought you'd actually read it. I kinda squirmed -not in a good way- in my chair. phew...

I'm ridiculously happy people didn't realize it wasn't you who wrote this.

Oh man. So pleased with myself.

You got the language and the form down pat. Plus, I guess this means that nobody really pays attention to my signature.

I'm disappointed nobody's commented on your LJ yet.

I've been reading your journal for how long now? If I wasn't able to imitate someone's writing style I'd be ashamed of myself.

Give my f-list time. They often take a few days to read my posts.

They're also all sort of like five year olds in that if there's pictures they're about 10x more likely to read it.

*laughs* I do so love my friends.

It was indeed very DiB-esque. Good work.
