An unexpected response

I got a response from Congressman Jay Inslee to the email I sent whose text appears in my LJ post of February 27. It moved me to tears - something vanishingly rare. So I had to share. Here it is:

Considering Lulsec's potential for wreaking havoc in all directions, I'd say good deal. What Anonymous wants to do is release all information of any type to the public, which, of course, is maximally entropizing it. If all information has the same value -- i.e., usefulness -- information is no longer information, but instead a kind of white noise. Nations could fall from that. As for releasing the information on private citizens, such as Social Security numbers, credit-card numbers, addresses, and names, that's horrible. The damage would be appalling. I'm glad the bastards got caught.
