"You never learn, do you? Have you been listening at all to what I've been telling you?" she snapped, quickly giving the nurses a comforting smile.

One of the nurses prodded his shirt up and began to redo his bandages, revealing his scarred stomach.
"S-such miserable surroundings...so unworthy of my light..." The sedatives were starting to kick in, and his head drooped back to the pillow.

She moved up next to the bed, ensuring that she was not hindering the nurses. "Nice to see that you're being polite, pleasant and co-operative, as always, Cyrus." she said sardonically, looking down at him. She then inclined her head respectfully at the medical staff. "Please accept my apologies on behalf of him. He's had a...difficult time, this past few weeks. He doesn't mean any offence, really." And she glared at him, as if daring him to argue with her.

"You're the only person he talks to," the doctor reiterated. "Try and get something out of him. Last night, after he spoke to you, he was pleasant for the first time since he's been here. But then this morning..." The woman tossed her hands up in a very unprofessional motion before exiting. A few moments later, she was followed by everyone else, leaving the champion alone with the bound prisoner.
Cyrus stared at the door, then at Cynthia, then chuckled. "They trust you with me, do they? How very interesting. You haven't been telling them what I've said, have you?"
