The whole "Brian opened his blue eyes" and scratched his brown hair was weird. The Suethor probably tried to "show, not tell", but kinda failed. Opening your blue eyes? Forgot to take off your eyeshadow in the evening?

Gary seemed weird, too. (Gary was very tall.) O.o So confused and... just handing out a Pokémon to a guy who doesn't even ask which one he gets?

And the "the Eevee was a boy" thing: Did he LOOK?!
