I think Gen V was announced in February, right? So it wouldn't be super consistent with announcements in the past... Though I'm still very excited!
There's been a lot of debate of whether this will be for a gen 3 remake or gen 6, too... I personally think the latter is more likely, but in the end, I don't really care -- what made BW2 a great game wasn't inherently the geography or 'mons, but the features (Join Avenue, new EV mechanics, PWT...). As long as Game Freak can keep on cranking this kind of stuff out that adds massive replay value and brings in characters from past generations to show some respect to the storyline as a whole, I'll be happy :D
Also, I'm not sure if we're going to say goodbye to Unova just yet ;) North America and Europe probably won't be expecting any new games until late 2014, I think? (assuming this is an announcement for a new game to see an Asian release later this year, and then takes a year to get translated/distributed to the West.)
I don't see them releasing a Gen 3 remake before Gen 6 on the 3DS. It wouldn't make sense to showcase the 3DS' capabilities on a remake...
If the next pair of games are announced tonight, it'll probably be released this fall in Japan like with previous games and in the spring for all other countries.
I'm so excited but I wish they had scheduled the announcement at an earlier time in Japan. Like 5pm their time so it's only midnight for me. Oh well, I'm going to stay up anyway!
Does anybody else think it is too soon for another game to be coming out? At least a "main" game? We only just had BW2! I think it's going to be something small.
I thought it was too soon for a new region too. I have my fingers crossed for a Gen3 remake myself. (Or an Orre region remake, that would rule so hard.)
This. I think it's way too early. Then again, they could be just announcing something and we most likely won't be seeing it until 2014-2015. I'm personally hoping for a R/S/E remake. :P Or more information on new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. A new gen would be pretty cool though. Especially with the rumor that's been going on about a possible new type and a whole bunch of new pokemon. Either way, I think Game Freak definitely won't let us down. :)

Wait, what? This intrigues me.
On the other hand, I thought I heard mention last year (I think?) that something special was being planned for Hoenn, or words to that effect.
...And if we can just have our Pokémon walk behind us again, that would be awesome...

What is probably is, which would be nice too: Gen 3 remakes.
Either way, I guess I'll know when I wake up.

Or if it's something to do with Mystery Dungeon, that'd be awesome, too...
