i'm pretty sure it means that you can only have up to 50 pokemon on your friend board, and that if you want to add more pokemon to it, you have to transfer some of them back to your game first.
..AH! Okay. So it's not going to go 'lol no more pokemon for youuu ~' when I do, eventually at some point in the future, transfer 50 across after I get into some of the new levels?
How can you ever have more than one Pokemon on your board? Since when you wake up your Pokemon after playing each day, the board Pokemon gets sent over. Only way I see is to never wake up the Pokemon for 50 days.
I mean. I know you don't HAVE to send it over you could leave your sleeping pokemon in dreamworld and leave the one on the board there too...but you can't get back to rainbow island if you do that!
I did some further reading at a Serebii's Dream World page and it actually looks like yeah, you can only ever transfer fifty pokemon, but they removed that limit from the Japanese version in December.
So maybe they'll remove it for the English version too?
Bulbapedia seems to confirm it:
Only 50 Pokémon may be transferred this way; this limit, however, has been removed from the Japanese version.
Of course I could have read something wrong. But meanwhile I hope they remove it for the English version.

Thank you for the confirmation! I checked that page but, apparently, I'm not so good with the reading.
