Gamestop Celebi OFFICIALLY announced @ Pokemon.com - February 21 - March 6

Pokemon.com has OFFICIALLY announced Gamestop Celebi !!!  :)

While everyone here knew about the upcoming Celebi event, there were still doubters.  I read numerous people posting to GameFAQ that Gamestop Celebi was not confirmed ... well NOW it is confirmed.

Gamestop Celebi triggers an event at Ilex Shrine in Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver that allows you to travel back in time to battle Team Rocket boss Giovanni.

I didn't check Bulbapedia until AFTER I posted the Pokemon.com announcement, so that's why there is no mention of a Canadian event in the original post.

As far as I know, you can get Celebi on each of those games as long as you have the National Pokédex on each. That was the only condition for downloading Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

When I picked up the Suicune, the Gamestop employee mentioned another event pokemon. Yay!

I park close to the entrance and my GS is pretty small so I don't have any issues beyond sometimes having to hold my DS a little higher/closer. XD
