My only natural shiny so far has been a Bellsprout - and it was the second pokemon that I ran into training my R4'd-shiny Eevee.

The first was Raikou.

That sounds about as exciting as the only natural shiny I've seen up to this point, which was a shiny Tangela lol. Shiny plants everywhere.

And oh my god, when roaming beasts attack. I pretty much screamed when I was just trying to catch a Ditto or something and all of a sudden WILD RAIKOU APPEARED!!

When you encounter Shiny Raikou, does it stay shiny for the rest of the game?

I've run into 2 shinies by mistake. The first was a shiny Gastly, which I caught. Which kinda sucks, because I really don't like Gastlies.
I also ran into a shiny Pelliper. I didn't catch it. >:(

Man, I know some people would kill to find a shiny Gastly by accident. I swear the games deliberately give us shinies we don't want.

i soft-resetted for a shiny rayquaza in soulsilver. i was on a roadtrip for a family vacation, so i had about 8 hours a day to reset, and did it for i think 5 days straight before it finally showed itself... i averaged mostly 2-3 resets a minute so in the end in did more than 7000 resets. and that isn't including the few hours i spent resetting BEFORE that trip x_x

it was arduous but in the end it paid off! i just got another copy of heartgold (my sister in law took my other one) so i'm going to start a file where i soft reset for all legendaries. i'm trying to complete two collections of all of them: one shiny and one not ;P

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF holy crap that is epic. *_* I was really tempted to soft reset for a shiny Rayquaza, since they're THE BOMB, but my eagerness to just catch it as it was won out in the end.

That's good to know!! I need all the inspiration possible to keep myself going for the shinies I want. I actually want to restart my copy of HG to try to get a shiny starter this time around and shiny Ho-Oh/Lugia/etc, but I'm also terrified of losing all the hours I've invested so far ;__; MAYBE I'LL JUST SPLURGE AND BUY A SECOND GAME.

my decision to catch it was so stupid, my friend let me borrow her kyogre to get it and i was like, yknow what? i'm gonna get a shiny. she started to do it too but she caved way before me haha. it really is a test of patience!

i just started mine tonight and i was thinking of soft resetting for the shiny starter but i was like nahhhh, i'm fine with just legendaries. it just sucks though because i'll never have five days with 8 hours of nothing like i did for rayquaza :( it'll take so much longer!

All of my shinies have been by accident. Magikarp, Wurmple, Zubat, Machoke, Starly, Pidgeotto...Not counting the ones I traded for.

My first shiny was a Sandshrew but I didn't even realize it was shiny until I transferred it from Ruby to Diamond. 8'D

My second was a Bibarel. :| Third was a Zubat which I trained and loved so it was good. <3
