question about legendaries.

Being the slacker that I am, in SoulSilver, I've done nearly everything up until you battle Red, and yet, I haven't had the opportunity (or memory to prepare) to battle and catch Raikou and Entei. Currently, Raikou's HP are down to the low yellow, yet it still won't keep in an Ultra Ball.

Thus, I have two questions to ask:

i. If I were to try to ( Read more... )

All legendaries you accidentally defeated will respawn after you beat the Elite Four again. I think Serebii confirmed it; I know this is how some reset for legendaries with certain properties.

'Certain properties'? Like for shiny legendaries?

Yup, or certain IVs for the battle-minded.

ok, slightly off topic, but kinda related - how about the rest of the special in game Pokemon? Do they reappear after beating the E4 too?

(If they do that explains why I've got a wiggling treee blocking me from my Apricorns)

You mean Sudowoodo? I suppose if you KO'd it on accident, then it could reappear. But if so, I hope that means the Snorlax in front of Diglett's Cave will regenerate if I fight the Elite Four again; I forgot to save before waking it up and I'd been playing for a good half hour before I battled it and accidentally KO'd it. >_____>;

Yup. I was going from the Park to Violet and WHAMO! wild Sudowoodo blocks players path! I was quiet confused and then the 'beat the E4 and the Pokes come back' theory popped into my head. I had no real proof of it happening that way for non-legendary Pokes so I'd thought I'd throw it out here...

Ouch. that's kinda what happened with Sudo the first time (ok, I was lazy and didn't want the rock-tree) so if it's true with non-lengendary Pokes, hopefully you'll get a second shot at Snorlax -_-

Other than a MasterBall to catch legendaries, I would suggest Dusk Balls. They have a damn good catch rate, but they work best when you're in a cave or at night, so if you want to do your Raikou and Entei hunting at night it'll work better for you :D

I use a specially bred pokemon for battling/catching. Gallade level 50 with False Swipe, Hypnosis, Mean look and Psychic.
