question about legendaries.

Being the slacker that I am, in SoulSilver, I've done nearly everything up until you battle Red, and yet, I haven't had the opportunity (or memory to prepare) to battle and catch Raikou and Entei. Currently, Raikou's HP are down to the low yellow, yet it still won't keep in an Ultra Ball.

Thus, I have two questions to ask:

i. If I were to try to ( Read more... )

Legendaries can be caught with any type of Pokeball. =) Although it may be annoying to catch something without a Master Ball, it's not impossible and you never know- you may have that very slim chance of catching Raikou in a Quick Ball (I was able to catch Articuno in Platinum that way XD).

The only reason why I wondered that is when I sat through trying to catch Ho-Oh, I was in that battle for 45 minutes throwing Ultra Balls at it and eventually ran out, and never caught it. ;_____; Hence my curiosity.

I did, I just ran out of pokeballs, so I gave up and restarted from my last save point. The only time I forgot to save was when I met up with Snorlax in front of Diglett's Cave. >____>;

for question two, legendaries don't necessarily need to be caught with only master balls; they're just extremely hard to get, making the master ball the only way you can get a legendary without it popping back out again.

1. If you KO a legendary and go through the Elite Four, they'll respawn (at least Suicune will, not sure about the others).

2. Any Pokemon can be caught in any type of PokeBall. It's not impossible, just really difficult.

Actually Suicune is the only one that won't.

Actually Suicune will... in the basement of the Burned Tower in Ecruteak. ;/

Ah okay. When I read about it when the games first released everyone was saying it was the one that wouldn't. Good to know it reappears now!

1. I remember my friend telling me that the dogs would revive after beating the Pokemon league. I mean, if they're gonna run into you while you're surfing, then they obviously have the ability of walking on water, which means that if they die, their father Arceus can use MaxRevive.

2. Nope! Like the others said, the Master Ball will just make it easier than going through the trouble of using the others.

1. I have KO-ed Raikou, fought the Elite Four, and refought it. (Finally capturing the booger.)
