493 PROJECT: THE LETTER A

Right after the release of Red and Blue, my preteen self sat down and drew (copied) every single Pokemon from the strategy guide. Since then, I've always wanted to draw every Pokemon again. Now that we're knee-deep in the fourth generation I finally jumped off that ledge. I'm drawing mostly in a realistic style, taking heaps and heaps of artistic

These are -amazing-. I love seeing people's realistic interpretations of pokemon! I never would have thought of Absol as a mountain goat, but considering where it lives, it makes sense.

Can't wait for the B's, because my favorite monster lies in there - Blaziken :D

thank you! I'm also a huge fan of seeing other people's realistic designs. absol was also an excuse to draw some goatish anatomy, there aren't enough excuses to do that :)

blaziken will be fun! I love the monster which look like a specific animal but with anatomy of another. ampharos was kind of like this, and I stressed keeping a sheep-like build while standing it up on two legs.

thank you! as far as dark dogs go, there are plenty of those already, houndoom/houndour, poochyena/mightyena and arguably umbreon. give poor absol a break!
