"Hey hot stuff!" Leaf didn't turn around. She didn't want to see the nasty pervert who was (no doubt) following her. After all, Saffron City wasn't exactly the safest place to hang out at night, particularly while roaming dirty, dark alleyways.

Which, of course, was what she was doing.

The footsteps didn't go away.

Maybe she was just blowing off steam - after all, her rival was (once again) ahead of her, and she now had to deal with Team Rocket - but she didn't want to deal with some asshat who couldn't leave her alone.

"Zard, use Blast Burn!"

And she didn't even realize her mistake as she recalled her starter Pokemon. 'That'll show that creep,' she thought, leaving behind the cowering figure of her extremely lucky, extremely terrified rival.

He would have to remember not to sneak up on her any time soon.
