N was actually nervous about celebrating the holidays because Ghetsis used to keep them a thoroughly unenjoyable experience for the boy; yet the first time he spent them with Hilda, he understood why everyone loved them so much.

Cynthia always liked watching people's faces as she released her garchomp, a rare pokemon that always caused surprise even when people knew she had one - but Cynthia thinks that her face mirrored the shock she'd always given people because seriously, was that a fucking Dialga?!

Cynthia’s always been under the impression she is the one who will break Dawn’s heart, yet as the younger girl cries and cries, and refuses the title, and clings to Cynthia’s coat, the older woman realizes she isn’t too old for heartbreak (a surprising revelation).

She breathes in deep and concentrates on stopping her hands from shaking and tells herself that it doesn't matter the kids here find her weird and no one won't be her friend, she knows she is loved anyway, and she smears bright colors all over the wall of her sad and empty little room to remind herself of Shoubu's warm affection.
