Man, I wasn't expecting Ash to win against Takuto but man, with Latios I feel like the entire pokemon anime-watching community has been massively trolled.

I do wonder though, if Ash could have had a better chance of winning if he had Charizard instead of Torkoal. I mean, it seems like a big stretch but Charizard has knocked out half of an opponent's team before so yeah.

Fun episode though and I'm super psyched for Isshu now /o/

Oh my god, that guy was such a cheat. /rage

Like, in the anime Legendaries always seem off-limits to capture unless you are super-special-awesome and your family was guardian of blah and special for a 1000 years, or you were a bad guy.
I thought this guy was a bad guy, and they TALKED ALL HAPPY.

And it's just- Ash had such an AMAZING battle with Paul that spanned three episodes, and he got wiped by SOME DUDE in one. It felt cheap and and was such a let down.

But I'm still excited for the new series and stuff. :)

If you think about it, only a few legendaries are explicitly off-limits in the anime, and they're usually those that guard something. And even then there's a leeway. Regigigas is clearly a guardian but no one had any problem with Brandon trying to catch it.

he didn't even use any new-region pokemon WHAT THE HELL IS THAT CRAP. It's like he was just a walking diabolus ex machina.

Along with the cheating Darkrai guy, what's up with Brock leaving?
I don't care about the fact he's leaving, but the fact they've got to poison a basketful of baby pokemon to make him leave. Like...Big pokemon in danger don't do it for him? They arn't cute enough? If this was his calling I thought he'd find it a long time ago.

Given how the last episode ended, with him doing the inner narration thing, I think this will be his excuse, and not so much his reason.

That's one way to get Nurse Joy to like him. Either that, or a comic stream of constant rejection, with him never quite building up that resistance to Croakgunk jabs.

What's scarier is the fact he's an adult.

He's taller than Cynthia I thought he was a teenager what the hell.
