I spent New Years in New York with my guy friends. I was watching TV at the apartment, and an alarm went off. It keep ringing and ringing and ringing. Our apartment caught on fire New Years eve too!!! Yay, smokey smell. It was an electric shortage fire in a third floor apartment, so as Keith and I tried to get out of there, the top floor filled with smoke. Nothing was messed up, so that's good. But apparently the alarm system in our apartment is not set up to notify the fire company when it goes off...you have to call them.

It's not an alarm system if it doesn't alarm someone to put out the fire. It's good that nothing got ruined. Sucky way to end 2008 though.
