it kind of depends what you like about the show whether or not you'd enjoy the books. Blair's pretty much the same character as in the books. But book-wise, Nate's more of a pussy, less noble. Serena's more spontaneous, Dan's more emo, and Vanessa is more important. Jenny's, I think, more ditzy, and Chuck isn't even really a main character. He's just this peripheral character who gets a pet monkey and is pretty much jackass. S/D and C/B aren't the pairings like in the show, either. Nor any of the parent plotlines. In fact the only parent plotline is with Blair's mom who is married and expecting
