Williams-McGarrett Bachelor Party at The Catscratch Club [dated to late November]

Nov 17, 2011 21:05

To Saffron's way of thinking, it was a given that any good bachelor party would be held at a strip club. Something about saying goodbye to being single and hello to a lifetime with the same person really needed a send-off involving drinking and sexy people taking their clothes off set to music and possibly a pair or two of boobs in the groom's face ( Read more... )

Truth be told, Danny feels like a grade-A idiot wearing the clothes that Rachel had set out for him. He's gonna do it, sure, because he loves her and he owes her, but he feels like an idiot, which is why he's managed to knock back about three shots in a row and is currently nursing a beer to try and make the momentary panic attacks go away at the thought that people might be looking at him.

He searches through the crowd, desperate to find Rachel or Neil (seeing as he's yet to see Steve) and beg for a calming massage or lapdance or whatever it is that stops your whole body from humming with freakish nerves.

"You wanna tell me why Rachel made me put on this stupid fuckin' outfit?" I ask with a smirk, knowing damn well why she wanted me to dress like this, and why Helen's in a tank and cargo pants.

"You look nervous," I tease, then, leaning in closer and breaking out in a grin, I ask, "Are you wearin' eyeliner?"

Danny practically chokes on his beer when he gets an eyeful of Neil in an outfit that is terrifyingly representational of Danny on his best days. "And yes, I'm wearing eyeliner. Blame the pregnant woman who whined and begged and pulled every dirty trick in the bag because she's not able to give me a lapdance. And you're dressed like a professional, you are dressed like men on the job should."

"What job?" I ask, reaching out and hooking a finger in the belt loop of his leather pants. "Not this one. I'm pretty sure whatever I'm wearin' is supposed to be break-away, for this job."

A bachelor party isn't probably what he would've settled on, but they'd left everything in the hands of others, and now Steve's not really sure what to expect when he shows up to the Catscratch a little later on. Danny'd left earlier to get ready at Rachel's, which he figures means that Danny'd left earlier to get dressed in something to surprise him, courtesy of Rachel.

He doesn't know what's going to greet his eyes when he finally steps in the door, but he doesn't like to draw a lot of attention to himself, so he settles for grabbing a drink and taking a seat closer to the fringes, calmly sipping and quietly observing the party, trying to pinpoint any familiar faces. He's not dressed in anything special, though, so out of anyone, he might be the most recognizable.

"You know, you wear some damn comfortable clothes," Saffron mused with a smirk, coming up beside Steve. She thought she'd done a pretty good job of imitating his typical getup, except for how there was a mile of cleavage on display thanks to the deep V in her shirt. "I might reconsider my own wardrobe."

Steve looks from her face down to the outfit, both eyebrows rising in surprise and visible confusion before that blossoms into amusement, and then he ducks his head, grinning slowly. "Danny's after to me to wear nicer clothes to work, but these just afford for more mobility, you know?" he replies, leaning back in his chair and absently plucking at the fabric of his own t-shirt.

Saffron's own smile deepened into something more genuine and warm. "I can see what you mean," she agreed. "You boys on the IPD definitely need to be able to get from place to place with a quickness in case something happens."

Once the party was in full swing, Saffron ducked backstage and changed into something that was quite simple, but called to mind a certain guest of honor. It was not at all like what she normally wore to work, but it was definitely comfortable, which made for a nice change for an evening.

Later on, there was a little surprise planned, but for now, Saffron mingled with a smile, making sure everyone was having a great time.

Back in Kentucky, if somebody had told him that this was how his life would turn out - Rachel pregnant, house almost finished, attending a big gay bachelor party - he'd have laughed. He finds himself oddly comfortable with the situation, though.

Things change, but not necessarily for the worst.

"I think that Neil and I showed remarkable restraint," she says, leaning in for a kiss. She has to wear a loose, flowing dress due to her recently popped out belly but it's as cleavage baring and short as she can get away with. "I even let Danny wear a shirt."

"I can barely see you in here at all," he says, leaning in to kiss her too, brushing his fingers through her hair. He likes the dress, likes it very much; he likes it so much that they barely got out of the house.

"And that is remarkably charitable of you, sweetheart."

"I know, right?" she murmurs against his mouth, wrapping her arms around his neck. Raylan respects her too much to go all caveman after Halloween, but fighting together for their little family has made her feel better about the whole thing, as strange as it is.

"And I've hardly even bitched about the fact that I'm stone cold sober. Did you notice Danny let me put eyeliner on him? And leather? I'm pretty sure I've given you all enough ammo for the next year at least."

What the hell does a girl wear to a big gay bachelor party? The only time she's ever been to a bachelor party, the dude wasn't just straight, he was player sleaze and the only reason he was tying the knot was 'cause he'd knocked up a girl who's daddy had the power to make him. And Kate had been coming out of the cake. A little cash for the dancing, and entree into a party and an introduction she couldn't get any other way.

This one...Steve and Danny aren't gay except for each other. She's pretty sure either of them but especially Steve would've done her if it weren't for the other and she's pretty sure she'd have done both of them (together) if it weren't for Declan. Which means that stripping clothes are right out.

She settles on shiny black stretch leggings that look like leather but flex like tights, black motorcycle boots and jacket, over a sheer black micromesh shirt layered over a wine colored bandeau bra. It's hot and not so slutty Declan's going to bust something having to be out with her in public.
