Reese's Identity Crisis

I've gathered together Reese's answers to the question "Who are you?" for S1, compiled here. (dreamwidth did the table *with* borders, but if you prefer LJ, go here.)

It was amusing if distracting fun going through all 23 eps for the answers. :)) It's definitely a theme the show creators are playing with in the most wonderful way.

I love this! Great thought to compile that. I notice, most of the time it's about what he DOES, which really, many people in our culture identify that way. Really, a lot of people if you asked them "Who are you?" they'd answer with their profession... John just needs a catchier job title! :)

it's true! we do identify strongly by what we do (altho often I noticed him identifying himself by what he *isn't*.) but I think Finch should give him business cards for the big reveal. :) Or maybe he can just say "I'm Batman." :DDD

I liked this compilation a lot. Thanks for all your work on this. This really is the central question of the show, isn't it? I suppose Reese will have an answer by the time the show ends, many years from now, I hope!

it's a pretty complicated question for everyone, but especially if you've been CIA, where they make a dedicated effort to break down your personality, and then you've had to abandon that identity entirely to survive. :|
