Valentines Day was pretty good this year.  Breanna renamed the day to Self Appreciation Day, which I think is much better.  We went to the Pyramid Mall and saw Coraline.  Really nice, captured the whimsy and the nightmares of childhood.  We also got some books at Borders.  I used the last bit of my Christmas gift card and got the next Something ( Read more... )

Despite the fact that Thursdays drain me, having straight classes from 9:30-4:45, there is one aspect that I do enjoy:  They are bordered with fun topics.  My Japanese Visual Culture class pretty much talks about anime, manga, mascot characters, etc.  I just did my presentation for that class and I chose Harajuku fashions.  It was funny when I ( Read more... )

I got hurt on Monday.  It was comic club and near the end (I was heading toward Sex Collective), Paul was singing this old campy Fantastic 4 theme song.  I told him to shut up and when he wouldn't I whacked him with my laptop bag.  No, my laptop wasn't in the bag, it had only my power adaptor in it, and Paul blocked the hit.  This may seem immature ( Read more... )

Hot damn, how long has it been sine I last had a post?  I will eventually put down all the things I did in Japan, as well as a site to post the several hundred megabytes worth of photos.  I tried photobucket (or was it Flickr?) and they have a 100meg per month limit.  That would take far too long to show you guys everything.

It's sent.  My application to Doshisha has now been sent and they'll receive it in 5 days time.  I had to buy express mail for that.  I also had to buy photo paper to send pictures with my app. since Japan apparently needs pictures.  This is costing me an arm and a leg but I'd sell my first born child to go to Japan.  Despite this, the stress won't ( Read more... )
