It's funny, but I only vaguely remember that night. Not because it wasn't significant, but so much of our marriage isn't clear any more, like a movie you watched but can't really recall the details of.

I'm awfully glad you didn't pull the trigger, and I'm glad that not giving me the satisfaction proved to be enough of a motivation. Trust me, I understand that. I refused to give you the satisfaction of quitting BCT, and being proved right, so I think its as valid a motivation as damn near anything else.

So, here's to moving on and moving past.

I understand the whole vague details thing. Unless I focus on an event I can't really see it. And I totally agree with the whole movie thing.

Whatever motivation works is good enough for me. You are most definitely an infinitely better soldier than I was and I am really proud of all the things you have accomplished.

Well, I am certainly a lot happier now than I was then, when we first met. I smile all the time and it's great. Sometimes it takes looking back into how bad things were to fully appreciate the now.

I could not agree more!!! When you have been through hell, a rainy day seems like paradise!! And you find that you don't stress stuff as much. Lex will ask if it is a wonderful day and I always say yes...everyday you wake up breathing is a wonderful day...
