I know - sorry! He's not going to have an easy time of it, obviously. This was difficult to write, and 'Into the Dark' has also been difficult. But I hope you'll enjoy it. Thanks for reading! :)

Angst, fluff or smut, your writing is always beautiful.
This prequel was really moving, you describe perfectly Ollie's emotions. We can feel that this tragedy will change everything, that his dark side is taking control.
I can't wait to read this story!!

Thank you! To be honest, I had no intention of posting this at first. I made character profiles for the characters in this universe because I played with canon quite a lot. Then I wrote this for myself so I could see what I thought it would take to drive this Oliver to the edge of sanity. But it occurred to me that it might be helpful for the reader to see why he's doing the things that he does in 'Into the Dark' and how this contributed to his mental state because he's definitely more the anti-hero committing some questionable acts and making some bad decisions. Anyway, I finish up classes on the 15th then as of 5 June, I'm off for 79 days! Woot! lol. I'll start posting this story by the end of the month. Thanks for reading!

I'm certain this prequel, and the following story, is the darkest thing I've ever written aside from my 'dark poetry' phase I went through years ago. I'm more of a fluff and romantic comedy kind of girl, but it's good to push myself out of my comfort zone occasionally. This Oliver is going to have a rough path ahead, but hopefully you'll enjoy the journey. Thanks a lot for reading!
