I'll definitely have more up soon this time - the next two chapters are written, but I do need to edit. I'll probably work on it a bit today while working on other updates. And I'm glad you're enjoying the story so much! It's flattering to know it can hold your attention for a whole evening. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! :)

Thank you for such nice comments, and for staying awake to read the update - that's a compliment too! :) I honestly think this is my favorite fanfic I've written b/c I'm such a Chloe fan. I'm glad you like it too - thanks again for reading!

I'm glad to see that this is your favourite fic to write, because this is one of my favourites to read (not that "Shadows" et al aren't all amazing either... because they are). To be honest, I've always considered this story the grown-up version of "Calendar Girl." I can't really explain it (I did sincerely try), but I assure you, it's my odd way of complimenting it ( ... )

I think it's my favorite because I always meant for it to be Chloe's story, and she is one of my favorite TV characters ever. 'Shadows' and the baby series I'm writing have a different vibe, but in this I wanted to see Chloe go from girl to woman in a more natural way, I guess. I hope it's translating that way. She is such a great female character, and there was no good reason for her to be overshadowed by the likes of *blech* Lana. Ugh, I hated Lana lol. Chloe's pretty and brilliant and sassy, and she should have had all kinds of male attention. That's why I felt like she had to have a break from Clark and his drama in order to find her own light. I actually have ideas for two other stories, one also very Chloe-centric, but I'll work on them when this one is finished (though I confess I've started outlining and writing a character list ( ... )

Aw thanks! I agree, they did tend to box Chloe in socially. Then again, my problem now is that Evie has become head-canon to me... so much that I'm tempted to bring her into another story.

The Chlollie slow-play works for the reasons you state. Chloe isn't someone who easily heals, so it wouldn't make sense if everything progressed quickly.

Writing fanfic is an interesting journey for sure. I know I groan at my first multi-chapter (which I've abandoned) because there were so many little things I didn't consider character-wise. I'll definitely keep your offer in mind, because I love having someone to bounce ideas off of, and I really respect your opinion. But feel free to PM me if you need anything, and I'll do my best to help.

'Calendar Girl' and 'Not Broken' both had a great AU setting while still being true to the spirit of the characters I think - and Evie was an awesome character, so I say go for it lol. I honestly wish more fic authors would include some original characters and round out the 'verse a bit, but that's a personal preference of course, and not for everyone. There's your stories - I feel like Lanie and Evie would be friends lol (and I just realized their names rhyme, huh.) And I liked Fickery's series that included the funky goth designer (I still laugh when I think of her cheating BF's band name, Sticky Kitty) and more recently there's BlueSuede's AU 'Never A Bride' - I like the inclusion of Chloe's assistant and the bitchy interns are amusing. There could be more, but I'm pretty far behind on my reading these days *sigh* - I hope I don't have problems accessing these sights when I get to Saudi for my next teaching position (fingers crossed ( ... )

I love that you've added images of who you've pictured playing each character, thank you so much for doing that. So I mentioned before that I really liked Sean's character when you first introduced him, and now after seeing that you've pictured Channing Tatum as Sean, my 'like' for him has gone to 'love' *blushes* BUT I'm STILL all for Chlollie...okay and maybe just a tiny little bit for Sean/Chloe.

As for this chapter, I loved the UST between Chlollie. Also I really liked how you've written Bruce's character in this story. Batman has been my favourite DC hero since I was a kid and I love when writers include him in Chlollie fics. Anyways I enjoyed his scene with Oliver a lot. And the whole thing with Chloe hacking Bruce's phone and locking him out was too funny. I'm pretty sure I've said this before but I love the amount of male attention Chloe's getting. Great chapter, definitely looking forward to reading more :D

Just posted Chapter 13 if you're interested. :)

I'm glad you liked the images - I picture them acting out the scenes when I write because it helps me to be more descriptive I think. I like Sean too and as I said in an earlier post, if this weren't solidly a Chlollie fic, Chloe would be having a very good time with Sean. ;-)

Glad you're enjoying the UST b/c I'm having fun writing it. I also really like Batman, especially the current franchise of movies. I'm enjoying my inclusion of Bruce here, so I'm glad you are as well. And I think it's high time Chloe got some attention - who said Ollie never has to have real competition? Thanks a lot for reading and reviewing!
