I TOTALLY SAW THAT TUMBLR FIC EXCHANGE AND HAD THE SAME REACTION. I mean, the fuck? Apart from the fact that tumblr really, really sucks for posting fic -- ugh, I don't even know.

Seriously! I saw it and I was like, "Oh man, really?" and then I read the small print and I was like, "REALLY? REALLY?"

Like, it's one thing to say to your friend, "hey, let's do a little tiny exchange with just us!" It's another to be like, "I have decided that I am the barometer of what's good in fandom and only the good ones are allowed to play my special game!"

I just can't even deal with it. Who the hell even is this girl to decide what's good and what's not? I'm actually going to be watching with interest to see if it explodes into bullshit the way it should.

Now I'm actually reading her requirements, and...wow. Just wow. I particularly like that all prompts MUST have an accompanying image, and that there's a maximum word count. Not that it matters, of course, because it's not like anyone could write more than 20k words in a month LOL! *looks at own 80k-word fic written in seven weeks*

Just...ugh.

The randomly violently ill thing... are you particularly stressed out right now, or maybe your subconscious is worrying about something? I used to have episodes like that, where I'd wake up in the middle of the night, be sick for a few hours, and be basically fine by noon the next day. We finally figured out I was making myself sick worrying about things (or possibly with nightmares, when I was a kid), and if I just figured out what was worrying me, it stopped.

I saw Arthur Christmas yesterday. It was very cute and very funny and thanks to you and fandom, I kept picturing McAvoy-as-Xavier talking instead of watching the movie.
