Howdy, internet.

***

How has your weekend been, internet? Mine has been...not as productive and I'd have liked it to be. I have about a zillion words left to write in the big bang. Instead of doing that, I have been looking at Tumblr a lot, refreshing the fic comms and bitching about how there is no new fic, having epically long GChats with littledustRead more... )

family stuff, i guess i'm in xmen: fc fandom now, fic i'm totally not writing

The only thing the divorce 'proved' to me was that they're both only human.

Two scenes is two fewer you need to write. Though I wish you all the luck with the rest of it.

I managed to not buy a damn thing yesterday or today. I'd be glad, except I'm not.

You've got it so right about the divorce. It's not perfect for either of them, and I don't know how anyone who's been through what Erik had been could say that his choice is right, but that's another discussion for another time.

I agree with your description of Charles and Erik 100%. If this is what you've been complaining about when you've been saying "people are wrong on the internet" I now totally understand. You are right. They are wrong. Period.

(Hugs and hugs: eventually I'll get around to replying to comments I've gotten on posts. I'm way behind on life right now...)

I continually don't understand this thinking that ~*Erik was in the right*~ and the whole thing is Charles' fault. GENOCIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER. EVER. OKAY?

Belatedly: thank you! I read that apparently in an interview or the commentaries or something, the writers said they wanted people to feel like they'd join Erik at the end. And that really boggles me. It's like: "Hi, I enjoyed your movie and all, but you're giving yourself a little too much credit if you think I can get so absorbed in the film that I forget that I and everyone I care about are human and would be targets for Magneto. PS, Killing Darwin was a dick move. Bring him back."
