Um... I really don't think you would get much pleasure from bamboozle. But your best bet for an informed decision would be to check out the myspace pages for the various bands (they'll all have them) and listen to a song or two.
Thanks! I had kind of figured, because I really don't listen to any of the same music as my cousins, but I thought maybe my aunt had a particular reason for asking me. (Other than the fact that I have a car and am apparently an Adult now.) Also, one of my co-workers was like, "Oh, it's so much fun! You'd love it!" but I don't think she knows me as well as she thinks she knows me. But at the same time, I am so musically retarded that I really had no idea. Oh my lord. It's not even a matter of the music not being to my taste, it's a matter of I have never heard of any of these people oh my god.
Ooh. Look at all those bands! Um, I'm not really really really familiar with their music but maybe Straylight Run. And Jack's Mannequin. Piano-based rock FTW. Cute Is What We Aim For is another bandom band (well, it's a Ramen band which is pretty much the same thing) and so's Paramore though I dislike them on general principles. My friends love Mindless Self Indulgence but I've not heard any of their music either. And you might like Jimmy Eat World? Maybe?
I DON'T KNOW. Let someone else tell you. Haha. I tried.
There are a lot I'd like - I quite like/can tolerate most bandom bands even though I wouldn't go out of my way to see them. But I'm not sure about you! If you think of it as a chance to experience a whole lot of music you'll probably never listen to again ever, then it could be fun?
Yeah, but I don't know if I'd want to waste a day off doing it, you know? I'm kind of an old lady when it comes to music I don't like. I mean, I can dance around like a crazy person with the best of them, but music I don't particularly like just sounds like noise to my ears and all I want is a motrin and bed. I AM SO OLD.
Oh man, it's a shame you wouldn't be going on the 4th, 'cos I think you'd actually like some of the bands. I was actually thinking about going, if that tells you anything. You know I don't like crowds.
Most of the Saturday bands I don't actually recognize, or if I do, I don't know their music really. Marie Digby is one of those people who got YouTube-famous, and IIRC she's mostly of the female singer/songwriter persuasion. Oh, and you should see Metro Station, because all their songs are about underage fucking I AM PRETTY MUCH NOT KIDDING and also you can laugh at Trace Cyrus. You might want to see Less Than Jake or Jimmy Eat World. Ahaha, MxPx! I saw them on Warped Tour when I was fourteen.
I would avoid The Devil Wears Prada, simply going from the merch I saw of theirs at our local Hot Topic. Before it closed. ;_;
If it helps, I like the stuff you like (the ones I've heard, anyways), and I like Finch (sorta) and Motion City Soundtrack (a bunch). Those are the only ones I recognize.

I mean, last week I saw Tom Paxton and I was like, "WOOOO. TOM PAXTON! AWESOME!" So I'm guessing this is SO not my crowd.
