Also, I don't remember that in The Real Thing, but it sounds funny. As for the commercial songs, I think it depends. The Beatles' "Getting Better" has been played on commercials so often it has become a "commercial song" to me, which is to say that I picture dancing targets when I hear it. Queen has a few songs on commercials and it just makes me happy to hear Queen. I have a playlist of songs from commercials, so I enjoy learning about new music from commercials also. Or when I buy an album and discover that "Hey, I know this song! It's on a commercial!" I guess I really only dislike it when a song I love gets overplayed. And other people steal it. That was MY song, man! You know what I mean?

See, I like commercials that play new songs I don't know. Like, for instance, two different commercials use snippets from the song "Sunshine" by Orba Squara and I've definitely DLed it because it makes me smile to hear it. SciFi uses a track off of the new De Novo Dahl album that has totally made me want to buy the album. OH TEEVEE. YOU EXPAND MY MUSICAL HORIZONS.

I've only seen Supermodel in snippets, but I am happy to hear that Shannon went home. Do you really think Perri will win? Every time I happen to see it the judges are going wild over Holly.

Clearly, though, I will need to watch this episode just for Christian.

Also -- okay. I find new horizons opened up for me on commercials, too. I am a bit ashamed of this and never admit to it, but your courage has been an inspiration! Take, for example, the commercial about the new super-thin Mac. I like that song, but I have NO IDEA who it is or what the name is. I would totally buy it from iTunes if I could. For serious.

It's America voting as opposed to the judges, and I really think Perri can bring it. Ronnie seems to be a fan favorite and Ben has come a LONG way, but isn't quite there yet. Holly is... okay, but she's been SUCH a whiny bitch that I don't think America likes her. (I like saying "America" because that's totally what they say on the show. Voting for Make Me a Supermodel makes you patriotic!) I'm really holding out for Perri. Not my favorite, btu I think he deserves it the most.

I'm watching Supermodel. I LOVE IT SO MUCH MORE THAN ANTM. I agree with you. I have no idea who will win.

As for LJ drama, I'm sick to death of hearing this shit. Seriously. Really, one little strike isn't going to make a whole lot of difference. Either get over it or get a different journal on a different site. Or friends-lock your shit and shut up about it. I have spoken my piece (peace?).

I KNOW, RIGHT? I never really 'got" ANTM, even though everyone I know is addicted, but THIS I love. I think I am officially at the point that I will watch any show that Bravo produces that's not about housewives. My secret dream is that they'll do like, "Who Wants to Be a Layout Designer?" or some shit so I could actually be on one.

w0rd on the LJ drama. It's a business. We're a minority. As both the business and the notoriety of fannish-ness grow, changes are going to be made. It's inevitable.
