As far as I am concerned, the joy of Torchwood is that it's really fucking terrible. But also amazing! But mostly really terrible. (But amazing.)

That's it exactly. When people start taking it seriously they wind up disappointed. It's trashy! But kind of wonderful.

Mind you, for me, I don't think anything Torchwood has done so far has topped the series three finale of Doctor Who in terms of awful and ridiculous plot.

Oh man, I was so ALL FOR IT until the chanting, and even that was VAGUELY okay as long as I didn't think about it too much, but then Doctor started levitating and glowing. COME ON, RUSTY. JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD.

Of course, I'm still totally excited about the new series starting next month, so you know. :D:

Random, but someone on my flist did that "My fandoms in cracky AUs!" meme, and I have to point out that her "SGA in a college dorm" answer cracked me up despite the fact that I have never seen an episode of the show. And that's pretty much entirely because of you and your squee. :)
