I LOVE your domestic schmoop - you have a gift of making it so gorgeously SCHMOOPY and happy-making yet keeping it totally real-seeming and IC (as much as RPS can be IC etc etc). Jared's touch of melancholy just MADE that fic, made me feel like it was all just playing out like life, so understated and yet toecurlingly happy. :DD I also love SPARKLY BALLOONS Jared, hee, but I love it when people manage to incorporate a whole rounded personality - realise he's a person who gets quiet and pissy and thoughful and tired and irritable and stuff, underneath the smiles and leg-humping.

I can't tell you how happy this makes me, because I was a tad worried that it was too understated and a little too sad. I don't think it's fair to ignore the leg humping, because it is why we love him, but, yes, I agree that it's important to remember he's a real guy who probably occasionally feels overwhelmed by the world.

Okay, so you know how I said S3 really wasn't wowing me as much as the first two? I take it all back. I just watched "A Very Supernatural Christmas" and cried. It killed me for so many reasons I can't even find the coherency to list them. Maybe tomorrow. Wah!

WHEEEE! Wasn't it amazing? That's so one of my very favorite episodes ever, the wee Winchesters and the MAN PAIN and the very obvious ways they love each other, and the amulet, OH GOD THE AMULET. I may have to go rewatch that.

Yep, it's in my top three, easy. I haven't cried watching an ep for the first time in ages, but I'm still wiping my tears away. The little Winchesters, and Dean trying so hard to make Christmas something for Sam, not wanting him to be disappointed. Him stealing a Barbie and baton for Sam. Sam giving him the amulet, which he still wears. Dean wanting a Christmas because it's his last and Sam not able to do it because it kills him inside to know it's Dean's last and maybe he can't change that, then doing it anyway because it means something to Dean. Dean buying him porn mags and Sam buying him oil for the Impala. That bastard ripping Sam's fingernail out >:O I just want to sob and sob for them.
