Adrian arrived quite swiftly to Norman's laboratory, not interested in making the man wait for him any longer than was absolutely necessary. Adrian was a punctual man that did not break the promises he made, and he regarded each and every schedule agreement as its own mini-promise. He knocked on the door twice, giving fair warning before reaching for the knob and twisting the door open.

Stepping into the room, head bowed before lifting it again, Adrian looked around for a moment. "Mr. Osborn?" he asked, voice low and courteous. He would invite himself in, but he would not proceed any further into the room without permission.

Norman looked up, and greeted Adrian with one of his charming smiles. "Veidt. Hello." He said, getting up from his desk and going over to greet the man personally, hand out already to be shook. "Glad you could make it."

He cast a slow glance back to his desk, smile growing just slightly colder.

"What is it about the eye that's so fascinating?" He mused. "What are your thoughts? Is it a purely scientific intrigue, or are we more interested in what it symbolizes?"

Adrian took the other's hand and shook it heartily, before taking a few steps forward to observe the man's desk. The jar had already caught his eye, but he tried to avoid being entirely rude -- his face quickly met Norman's, attention dropping from the desk and focusing on his lab partner's words. His smile broadened at Norman's question, and Adrian shrugged his shoulders for effect ( ... )

Veidt's description was eerily appropriate, and Norman's smile grew, before he turned back to the man. "How right you are," he said, with an almost pleasantly content look on his face. He decided to leave it at that, as the other man had said it perfectly, and Norman didn't need to reveal any more about the situation than necessary.

He lifted the jar, holding it in front of his eyes and admiring what was inside. "And yet science has found a way to replicate the organ; prosthetic eyes that function almost as well as an organic one, occasionally? Even better." He lowered the jar. "But the symbolism remains intact."

Adrian smiled, obviously a fan of the deeper meanings in everything - the eye was just the beginning, really. He glanced carefully over to the jar, not wanting too seem too interested in the man's new project for fear of just how eerie that might make him seem. He had so many questions, though.

The man took his hands from his pockets and approached Norman, extending a hand. "Could I see it?" he requested casually, head tilted to one side. "Where did this come from?"
