Tsuzuki had felt Hisoka stir, long before the younger man became aware of it. He ran a hand through the blond hair and started muttering softly to him. Hoping he'd just curl back up and go to sleep, but sadly, Hisoka didn't do that. Why would he? Things were never that easy with his partner. But he loved that about him. He was a fighter, and he had to admit. He was a cutie when he slept. Just a sweet little angel.
"Shhh. Don't push yourself. You've been through a tough time." His voice was just a whisper as he sat up and wrapped his arms around Hisoka, pulling the younger man back to him. Sitting with his own back to the headboard, and Hisoka's back to his chest. He felt completely comfortable, and at peace. He just hoped his actions didn't push Hisoka back over the edge.
Hisoka didn't resist as he was pulled backwards, no more than a token flinch running through his slender frame. He wasn't sure he'd have had the strength to pull free even if he wanted to, but he didn't have the will to even want to test it. The contact wasn't overwhelming by itself, not right now or like this, and he let himself lay limply back against his partner.
Tsuzuki had saved him, hadn't he? That was right. When there had been nothing else to hold onto, drowned under the crushing weight of everyone gone horribly out of control, he had been there to pull him back.
"Tsuzuki..." the blond murmured quietly, hating how he sounded so weak and exhausted and quite nearly on the verge of tears. He couldn't even control his own power; he couldn't control anything at all. Resting his head back against his partner's shoulder, he closed his eyes. "What... what happened?"
