Nausea twisted his stomach, and the first thing Hisoka was aware of was the thumping, throbbing pain in his head. He lay completely still as he tried and failed to settle himself, nothing felt right at that moment. But no matter how warm and safe he felt, half-lost in the comfort that he could distinctly identify as only one person, his nerves were completely shot.
"Tsuzu-huh?" came an indistinct mumble, the smaller shinigami blinking a time or two as if clearing his vision might make sense of his surroundings. It didn't give him many answers beyond the fact that he was laying curled against Tsuzuki far closer than he ever allowed himself, and there was a long moment before he remembered what had happened. He made a soft sound of pain as it struck him, briefly tempted to be shameless enough to bury his face against Tsuzuki's chest until it passed.
He wasn't.
His empathy reached out, tentatively and without direction, and his mind was still over-taxed enough that it felt running headlong into a wall of broken glass. His breath hitched as he started to sit up a little hastily, fingers tangling in wheat-blond hair. Everything was coming back in fragments. Going out, trying to clear his head because Muraki couldn't possibly be--
Then everything had crashed down around him for no apparent reason at all.
