DATE: Day 51 CHARACTER(S): Tony Stark extremisshield and Integra Hellsing ms_hellsing STATUS: Complete SUMMARY: Integra wants to study and Tony's still acting odd. LOCATION: Media centre
Tony had managed to escape Billy's careful eye at one point, and headed down to the media center. He really just wanted to try and see if he could figure out why everyone was speculating that he was acting oddly. He certainly didn't believe so!
He stepped into the media center and sat down in a chair, rather close to a woman using the archaic way of reading. Pale blond hair, he couldn't help but feel a stirring in his pants. Dear lord had his libido gotten out of control. There was a bit of cleavage showing, but not enough to really be tempting.
He couldn't help but flash her his best smile before he allowed Extremis to start downloading. He found it a little easier, perhaps rewarding, to be in the place where the information was.
Really, he just looked like a man with a friendly smile and a blank look on his face at the moment.
Hey now! Who buttons the top button or two on a shirt when not wearing a tie? Not Integra. That's just ridiculous!
She wasn't as hopelessly lost in the book as she appeared. The movement as the man took a seat caught her attention. Just a fleeting flick of her gaze before Integra's attention returned to the words on the page. Though, she'd caught a glimpse of that smile before looking away. It would be outright rude to just ignore him. Another glance, this time, Integra deigned to lift her head only to give Tony a nod in greeting, silent and short. The blank look he wore was curious, if a little ridiculous with that smile. "May I help you," droned she. The words held a note of impatience, the same sort one hears in the voice of a parent speaking to their child.
Tony's eyes slid away from that glazed look to a bit sharper of a glance, and he realized he was still flashing that bright, stupid smile. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry," he said kindly, shaking his head. More information flooded into his head, and his eyes glazed over for just a moment before he shook himself out of the haze. "I apologize," he said, reaching out his hand. "Tony Stark," he introduced.
There was only the slightest sign of annoyance at that seemingly patronizing tone. A tiny twitch of her eyes as he spoke and zoned out again. The behaviour left Integra wondering if he was right in the head. Such a judgemental creature, this woman. A single brow lofted over the rim of her glasses at the introduction. "Integra Hellsing," she offered, taking the proffered hand in a firm grip with a slight shake. "A pleasure to meet you in person, Stark."
Tony's smile widened, and his gaze fully focused on her, Extremis to the backburner for the moment. "Ah, Miss Hellsing," he said, gripping her hand back, but not in a show of strength, but of warmth. "We spoke on the boards, yes?" he questioned.
He couldn't help it! His mind seemed to flit towards this personality of complete congeniality, even though while Tony Stark was perfectly capable of such behavior, he certainly wasn't exactly like that all the time. Sarcastic, and snarky tended to fit him better, especially when he was comfortable.
One corner of her mouth turned up into a small grin. "Sir Hellsing," corrected she. It was a correction Integra was accustomed to making, no worries, Tony. "That's correct," she affirmed with a nod. And a slight pull to get her hand back.
Integra was none the wiser to the oddity of his behaviour. Though, he seemed a bit more... smarmy in person than he had in their previous dialogue. What could one expect? Men of science often seemed the wishy-washy type.
