So, I'm sure most of you have already seen this programme. I just want a reason to express my rage over these commentators and their ~productive commentary. No artistry, wut? Emotionless? I don't think so

I remember watching this live on NBC...I think Sandra Bezic said something like, "choreographically, Plushy's program is no where near Evan's" during the SP :/ In retrospect, it looks like they were definitely anticipating Evan to win in Vancouver.
I remember in 2002 Scott Hamilton actually thought Timothy Goebel's LP had a chance at beating Yags's...yeah, really. wtf
AND RUSSIA WITH THEIR DAMN COMMIES CAN GO DIAF WHILE WE SHOW THEM WHO IS BEST WITH THE POWERS OF CAPITALISM, CONSERVATISM, AND SHEER AWESOMENESS. THAT'S RIGHT, WE'RE THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE. GO AMEEEERICKA FUCK YEAH! IN AMERICKA...
Well, I don't know about the bias against Plushy - I usually watch Polish or British Eurosport and the commentators there are ok.
As to the Godfather, it's not a favourite of min,e but it is a good lp, and at the 2006 Olympics he clearly deserved to win, and I was very happy for him. As to what the American the commentators are saying, I agree up to a point. I did not feel that it lacked artistry or emotion. The emotion was definitely there. The choreography, though, was sparse.
They were impressed by Evan for many reasons. He was very young then and nobody expected much from him (at the time there were more expectations towards Johnny). Secondly, he was ill with stomach flu then. This resulted in a terrible SP (he was 10th after it) and nobody (probably even himself) expected such a great comeback as the LP. He jumped from 10th to fourth and everybody was shocked. As to Plushy, everyone expected him to win... so no surprise there :)
and Plushy's choreo in Torino OL Godfather was absolutely dead empty. You really need to watch His Euro championship 2005, Euro 2006 or Grand Prix Final 2004/2005 to enjoy its choreo at its fullest. Just Saying

Some of you have not seen it, so maybe you'd like to.
I first saw him at the 2005 Worlds in Moscow and liked him... but I was not whelmed. At the 2006 Olys I became a fan for life :)
