So, I'm sure most of you have already seen this programme. I just want a reason to express my rage over these commentators and their ~productive commentary. No artistry, wut? Emotionless? I don't think so ( Read more... )

THIS IS WHY I USED THIS PARTICULAR VIDEO. I really got enraged after hearing this for the first time. D:I also showed this video to my best friend, who really is more into womens' figure skating and is kinda creeped out by my Plushenko obsession. Even she admitted that while he didn't show a lot of emotion on his face, he showed tons of emotion in his skating (she also went on to say something about how professional dancers don't show emotion on their faces, but can put their emotion into their dancing.). She even complained about when they were talking about how Plushy was "sacrificing the choreography", which she highly regarded in this programme ( ... )

Oh, yes the "choreography", I'm sick of those complainin about the choreo in Plushy's programs. Time ago I was lurking at some FS forum and there was a former ballerina who was staning a bit about Plushy, and then the haters started pushing her, saying that "if she were really into ballet, he couln't admire Plush's skating"..... I think they are just repeating what they hear, precisely from tv commentators, anyway, their loss.

Especially because he trained in ballet during his childhood. Eventually his dance coach made him decide between doing ballet or doing figure skating, and well...

I hate commentators!, luckyly during Vancouver my local tv ones were respectful enough to shut their mouths off during the routines, they were also mostly Pro-Plushy, after his performance at the Gala, they said something like: "and that was the Olympic Gold true owner" :)

But you know?, we all know there's a lot of politics around FS, commentators must have a hard time remaining neutral (some don't even try) but, I've noticed especial animosity towards Plush, they all seem to be 'scared' of him, seem to be trying all the time to point out his 'faults', even in his best programs, IDK really....

IDK, I like the British commentators. Aside from the Kerr siblings, the UK doesn't really have any whelming skaters, so they have something good to say about everyone.

But I'm American, so with live TV I'm stuck with these clowns. ):

Oh yes. And that wretched Dick Button going on and on about how he didn't have a program and all ... and then he finishes up with something like "you can't take your eyes off him!" WTF. He did the same thing in Vancouver when they had him in to commentate.

Because it's not the"COP artistry" they can't get enough of... Ok granted Godfather is not one of my favourite programs (it's kind of empty ngl) but Plushy is a talented bamf for being able to take a sparser program and make it enjoyable and passionate ( ... )
