TS3 CC is barely getting underway and I'm already going overboard... I downloaded a bunch of patterns from TSR and one promptly borked my game so I had to use to 50/50 method to locate it. Also, a bunch of patterns I downloaded are in the "Misc" category when something named "leather" should probably be in the, oh let's say, the leather category. A ( Read more... )

Surface area should be in inches squared and volume should be in inches cubed, but at least the surface area is right. I don't know what the volume is, haha.

By what method did you install the patterns you downloaded?

I haven't tried any from the EA site, so it could be just that those are borked. Are you using the Sims 3 Viewer to install .sims3packs and/or Delphy's Helper Monkey to install .package files?

Thank you for the details.

I've been wanting to make cloth plumbobs (for use with sock monkeys) and the basic plan of attack was elluding me.

Your plumbob is awesome.

Lookit me, I'm useful!

I was considering making plumbbobs with a wire frame and light inside for ComiCon but tend to run into disaster when working with wire.

For cloth plumbbobs I would recommend some kind of backing to stiffen the fabric. I forget what that stuff is called, but my grandma uses it for quilting all the time.

And PLEASE put a bell in it! Just 'cause. :D

I taught sixth grade most recently. I don't know what I'll teach next.

I got along great with most of my students. The only ones who don't like me are little shitheads anyway.

That's a much better idea. When I taught kindergarten I totally accidentally said a word wrong--I don't even remember what it was but the way I screwed it up made me clearly say at least part of it was "shit," and the little darlings didn't even blink about it.
