TS3 CC is barely getting underway and I'm already going overboard... I downloaded a bunch of patterns from TSR and one promptly borked my game so I had to use to 50/50 method to locate it. Also, a bunch of patterns I downloaded are in the "Misc" category when something named "leather" should probably be in the, oh let's say, the leather category. A bunch of them aren't tiled too, but you can't tell because TSR's "fancy" little Workshop auto-uploader does not give a tiled preview. Also, if you run these files through the Compressorizer they pop. The ones using Delphy's pattern packager compress fine, but TSR's can't handle the pressure, hurrr.

I did get some really cute patterns though. Two strawberry patterns! Woo! Strawberries are an obsession of mine.

Anyway, poor Saye and Stiles have been victims of my experimenting lately. I'll probably update their legacy tonight or tomorrow, but for most of today I've been downloading and *gasp* creating patterns. Still working on the finer points.

But now the for real anyway... I made a plumbbob! See, I end every school year with my math students by making them build a three dimensional solid out of cardboard, decorate it for several days, and then calculate the surface area and volume. I like to build one too, so this year I made a plumbbob.

It's made of twelve isoceles triangles, each with a base or 5.5 inches and a height of 10 inches. The height of each hexagonal pyramid is 9.75 inches. Calculate the surface area and volume! GO!

cc addiction, nothing of interest
