Whilst Avatar is sometimes faily and I doubt whether you'd like it at all, Toph is brilliant. She's only a kid and she beats up grown men for the lulz with her awesome earthbending skills; she's also blind, but sees with her feet (vibrations through the earth and all that) speaks mainly in sarcasm, cheats at gambling, is rude, surly and bitchy as well as being too smart for her own good and she likes being dirty... What's not to like?

Criminal Minds is a procedural about the FBI Behavioural Analysis Unit who investigate murders (and kidnappings, and serial rapists, and child abductions, etc...) and build a psychological profile of the 'UnSub' (Unknown subject) so they can find them and either put them away for good or shoot them. (It tends to be one of the other, dramatic-showdown-of-doom at the last minute rarely ends any other way.)

Penny is their awesome technical analyst and computer whizzkid who finds all of the info for them once they know how to narrow down the search (although she is a TV-tech, so some of the things she does with computers have us shouting 'but that wouldn't happen!' at the telly, but she's so cool and brilliant we've pretty much ceased to care by this point). She tends to flirt outrageously with people all the time, even in the midst of imparting details of horrific torture. She's funny and smart and has a dirty mind, she's mad and colourful and has differently coloured hair every other day. Also she is

I don't deny Donna is awesome, but as I said I limited myself to one character per fandom and there are so many fandoms that I had to leave out as well. Sorry, but Ace beats Donna mostly because she makes her own explosives, doesn't do what she's told, rides a time-travelling motorbike and once beat up a Dalek with a baseball bat! Oh, I've been holding off squeeing about Criminal Minds for a month or so now, but I have the fierce love for it.

niblick-iii and I have a feeling we might be watching too many procedurals, and given that since the beginning of December we've managed to mainline all of Criminal Minds (twice), I've caught up with House, I watched the first three series' of Bones and we're watching the new series of Silent Witness every week as it comes out... We might actually be right.

...On the other hand we're still developing 'Unsub Bingo' and we've cultivated the ability to eat dinner through gruesome murder investigations and Leo sniffing the stomach contents during an autopsy, so I think the damage is already done.

Criminal Minds wise I started off being all 'Woo Reid and Morgan!' moved on to 'I ♥ Garcia SO MUCH!' and have now ended up at 'Wow I love everyone, even Prentiss, she does grow on you, and dammit why is Thomas Gibson so hot IT IS NOT FAIR! Also what the hell brain? Rossi?! Really?!?...'
