I KNOW!!!! He said it's at their "Raleigh" location, but maybe by Raleigh he means Cary!? They need to effing hire me. Hrumph.
LOL! To preserve the dress, they clean it really well and steam it and stuff, then they fold it really nicely and wrap it up and seal it in a box. It's supposed to keep the material from yellowing and whatnot. Basically, it's just something for me to keep in a closet somewhere and lug around when I move, in case my hypothetical daughter hypothetically has the same tastes I do and would want to use my wedding dress as her own. :P
My mom had her wedding dress preserved, although they must have done a poor job or the seal broke because the ivory material was quite yellow. Turns out, I wouldn't have worn the dress myself even if it was better preserved, just not my style. But I did end up using the lace from her wedding dress to wrap the bouquets with. That was kind of special. :)
OMG! They said Raleigh to me too, I think. Those Canadians don't know what's going on. There's an office in Durham, too... but if I'm in the Cary office, you would be too. THEY'D BETTER FRICKIN HIRE YOU! OMG how awesome would that be??
I remember you mentioning the lace from your mom's wedding dress. That is so cool! My mom's wedding dress was $14 from JCPenney or something, and it was light pink... lol, yay hippy mom ;)
