Pam strode confidently into the pool wearing her itsy bitsy barely there pale pink and white polka dot bikini, and matching three inch wedge sandals, the pink gauzy sarong draped stylishly around her hips only giving the illusion of modesty.

She was aware that now that she was human, it would actually take effort to keep her svelte figure, and had learned from listening to the waitresses at Fangtasia talk, that swimming, yoga, and Pilates were the best ways to keep long lean muscles. While she didn't know how to do yoga or Pilates, she did know how to swim, so after finding the pool she decided to make that part of her regular routine.

She paused when she reached the edge of the pool, realizing that she didn't have the pool alone tonight. She had still been keeping predominantly nocturnal hours since she had arrived at the hotel earlier in the week, so as a result she had yet to meet anyone else residing in the hotel other than her maker and his bonded.

Gwen sat up in order to change strokes and nearly pissed herself when she realized she was no longer alone. "Hello..." She spluttered. The young woman standing at the edge of the pool was, in one word, gorgeous. Her legs were long and lean, her stomach flat, breasts perky. In one fell swoop, whatever confidence Gwen had built up was destroyed like a house of cards.

"You're the first person I've seen, other than my mate, Owen." A nervous smile worked its way onto Gwen's face as she tiptoed to the wall of the pool. "I'm Gwen, by the way. Gwen Cooper."

Pam was well aware that she had startled the other woman, and smirked slightly in amusement.

"Hello, you're the first person I've seen other than my Master, Eric and my friend, Sookie," she replied in kind. "I am Pam," she introduced herself, "I assume you have recently arrived here as well?" she asked, making a conscious effort to adhere to human social niceties.

"Well, it's a pleasure, Pam." Gwen gave her a polite nod. "Ah, yes. I'm new. New, and bored out of my bloody skull." She was tempted to ask about the 'master' bit, but figured it was not really any of her business. For all she knew, Pam was some sort of kinky sex slave. Wonder what Jack would think about that?

"I promise to keep to one side, if you want to swim." Said Gwen, fanning her arm out to indicate the rest of the pool.

"No need to be so far away," Pam replied with a suggestive smirk, deciding that Gwen wasn't too hard on the eyes. She stepped delicately out of her shoes and pulled the sarong off letting it fall to the tile floor before fetching a towel out of the storage cupboard she had found last time she was here.

Gwen flushed at the underlying suggestion. Yes, Pam was a knock-out, but Gwen prefered her partners to be male. Well, there was that one time with that girl possessed by the gaseous alien...

Gwen pushed off from the wall, eager to keep her mind on other things, and started her lap.

Pam chuckled lightly to herself amused by Gwen's reaction to her, before diving prettily into the water, beginning her work out with strong graceful strokes, turning her head to breathe on every third stroke.

She hadn't known how to swim when she was still alive, it not being proper for women of her time and stature to have such a skill, so it was a bit of a learning curve the first time she had swam the other night when she realized she had to add breathing to her swimming. Luckily she had figured out the mechanics of it while she was alone and before she had drowned.

Gwen paused at the other end of the pool, feeling a bit awkward about the whole situation. "You're not from Cardiff, are you? I'm just curious to know how far this phenomena has spread." She pressed her back against the wall, resting her elbows on the lip of the pool, casually. Ever the police woman, Gwen was. She just couldn't resist a good mystery.

She kicked her legs, idly, to keep the strain off her shoulders. Her eyes stared off into the distance, unfocused, as she recalled her last night in the Cardiff bay.

"Cardiff?" she repeated, when Gwen took advantage of her need to break for air, a sensation she was still not used too, to ask a question. She paddled closer to the other woman so they didn't have to yell across the pool and mimicked her pose against the wall. "No, I haven't been to Wales in centuries," she answered truthfully. "I was living in Louisiana before being brought here. But I was from England originally," she revealed since there was no trace of an accent in her voice.

"Mhm. He spotted me on the Network." Said Gwen, turning back to Handy. "We're supposed to meet for drinks after he finishes some 'business'." Raising her arms, she crooked her first two fingers on each hand, creating air quotes.

Carefully, Gwen scooted across the water over to a place beside Handy and pulled herself up onto the dry floor. Her poor fingers and toes looked like prunes, already. "Can I ask how you know Jack? He tends to be a bit...quiet about his past." She paused for a moment, and then decided to ammend her comment, "Okay, he's damn near silent." Gwen rose to her feet and grabbed her own towel, draping it around her shoulders, before resuming her position beside Handy.

Pam rolled her eyes to herself as the conversation continued about someone she didn't know. And humans accused her of being rude... at least they might if they weren't afraid of her.

She sighed again, she already missed inspiring that kind of reaction from blood bags, and she was bored. She hated being bored. She considered going back to her swimming, but she wanted to make sure she wasn't going to miss learning anything of importance from her fellow guests. Centuries of survival had taught her the importance of keeping her ears open.

Owen Harper was back wandering the corridors (yet again). Kaylee still hadn't replied to his message, she wasn't in her room but the dress he'd left for her was no longer outside her door. He wasn't sure if she had missed seeing the message, or didn't like the fact that he had tried to get her to wear something that was to his taste but not hers. What he really needed to do was find her, trouble was he was running out of places to look.

Suddenly remembering how she'd enjoyed swimming, the pool seemed a good place to check. He tried to avoid thinking about it, but as time passed a nagging feeling that either she had met someone else (which she was perfectly entitled to do- there had been no commitment on either side after all), or the hotel had taken her away. Whichever it was, he just wanted to know, trouble was, the only way that was going to happen, was if he found her first- or definite proof that she wasn't around anywhere ( ... )

"Really?" Handy watched Gwen fetch the towel. "You mean he hasn't told you anything?" He supposed he didn't always share much about his own history, but he'd've thought Jack might have given his team at least a little background.

"We traveled together for a while," he explained, not wanting to give too much away if Jack was, for whatever reason, keeping things hidden from his team. "It was sort of a long time ago, but we'd met again a few times before either of us was brought here."

He looked over at Pam, wondering why she was still there but not joining the conversation if she was so bored with them--either she was waiting for them to clear out or she was listening in, and the latter, after everything that had happened since Jareth's arrival, made him a bit wary. Before he could say anything, though, he heard the door open behind him, and twisted to see who the newcomer was.

Gwen shrugged, "He mentions things here and there. I had to find out about his little ability on my own. Let me tell you, it shocked the sodding hell out of me to see him..." She stopped herself and glanced at Pam, then lowered her voice, "-to see him dead one minute and alive the next."

'What is her problem?' Gwen mouthed to Handy, jerking her head in the other woman's direction. She shrugged and shook her head, deciding to be courteous and include Pam in the conversation. "We must be boring the pants off of you, poor lamb. What did you do for a living back in Louisiana? I've always wanted to see New Orleans. I heard it's lovely."

Reflecting Handy's own movement, Gwen twisted in the opposite direction to see who was walking in.

She may not have had her preternatural hearing anymore, but she wasn't deaf either and heard what Gwen said about this Jack. That wasn't boring. She was also amused by the fact that Gwen referred to her as a lamb, she may look 19 but she hadn't been in quite some time and she certainly wasn't a soft and fuzzy baby sheep.

"I was the co-owner of a bar in Shreveport, and managed various other business dealings," she answered the question, deciding to leave out the part about being the Sheriff of Area 5's second. "And New Orleans was much fun before Katrina decimated the city."

Since she was still in the pool, she only had to look up to see who had entered the room. Well wasn't this just becoming quite the little gathering.

Owen walked towards the sound of the voices, just a quick visit, ask about Kaylee and then off. The first person he saw was an extremely decorative blonde at the far side of the pool. Very nice, maybe he'd stick around and find out who she was.

"Gwen! See you're finding your way around alright," he smiled cheerfully in her direction, still angling towards the blonde. "Doctor," he acknowledged the other man, automatically glancing towards his injured leg, it seemed to be moving well enough.

The blonde was still in the pool, watching him. Smiling he moved closer, slowly looking her up and down. That bikini top didn't leave much to imagination, even his! "Owen Harper," he said, leaning forward slightly and gazing into her eyes. "I don't think we've met."

That Gwen knew at least that much about Jack made things a bit more relaxed for Handy--Jack likely had more secrets beyond that, to be sure, but that was probably the big one. He grinned and shrugged at her silent question about Pam, glad he wasn't the only one who had noticed something...off. He raised an eyebrow at Pam's answer--she looked a bit young to be a bar owner. "It was a bit, yeah," he said, sadly.

"Owen!" he greeted the other man enthusiastically. "Fancy that, two of you showing up together." He remembered that he'd promised to return the painkillers to the doctor the next time he saw him, but thought it better not to even mention it as he'd left the bottle in the pocket of his jacket, which in turn had been left in his room.
