Martha was walking up and down the second floor hallway. She was pretty happy. She'd managed about 10 laps and was still feeling like she could do a few more. Martha was so tired of feeling weak, and now that she wasn't always necessary in the infirmary, she could walk. She still wore her safety pinned shirts though.

And, just as Billy was about to give up and go back to his room to sulk and curse the hotel in the dark, he rounded the corner and saw a lady he hadn't met before - that seemed to be the case with everyone he met here though - but this time the lady didn't look like she was having a great time.

Sort of looked like she belonged in a hospital bed, really. "Are you okay?" he asked frankly, shoving his hands into his pockets, his default action.

Martha started at the sound of another person and wincing immediately following. She sat down in a chair that hadn't been there moments before. Now was as good a time for a rest as any. "Hello," she breathed. "We haven't met yet," she added. "Martha," she supplied starting the name game using her words efficiently.

The appearance of the chair gave him pause. Really? he thought to himself, glaring at the walls for a second. Now the Hotel was just rubbing it in his face. "Billy," he supplied his name back, taking another few steps forward. It sounded like she was winded, and he didn't want to make her talk louder than she had to- he was getting more aware of others, he found. It was probably the lack of other experiments to focus on.

"You okay?" he repeated, raising his eyebrows at her.

She listened to him, paying as much attention as she could. "Shooting is bad," she agreed. She felt he was telling her something important, but she couldn't grasp it through the pain.

Billy turned around on the bed to look at her properly. "Martha, are you okay?" he asked, knowing it was a useless question. But she looked a little foggy, and he decided to get up and find a blanket for her even if she hadn't said she wanted one.

"Um, where are you from?" he asked as he went to the closet, opening it and staring at it for a moment before diving in. "Do you have family? Where did you study- what did you study? Martha?"

He was asking her questions. Lots of questions. Something about studying. And where she lived. When would the pain stop? "London. A doctor. Medical... doctor." she said, thinking that they would answer some of the questions he answered. She hoped.

There was the edge of something fleecy up high and he reached for it. It brought down a couple other things that he kicked to the back of the closet, and he shook out the soft blanket as he came back.

Frowning at the sight of her he draped the blanket carefully across her, from feet to neck, slightly awkward because he'd never actually done this before.

"Where did you specialize?" he asked, smoothing out the edge as he returned to his perch on the edge of the bed. He was legitimately concerned now, and hopefully whoever it was would come soon.
