Who: Elphaba and Ford Where: Elphie's room, and probably somewhere else When: A day after this What: Elphie is determined to stay away from Ford... Let's see how long that lasts.
"'Barely alive'?" Ford said. "I know exactly what I'm doing, thank you. I destroyed one of the cars in there and I was perfectly fine afterwards!"
He waited until she closed the door and then took off again.
"Watch this," he told her, speeding towards the horizon at the vehicle's maximum speed.
As soon as the hotel disappeared from his rearview mirror, it reappeared over the horizon in front of them. He didn't slow down, instead swerving wildly as they approached the building, just missing a corner of it.
He laughed. "You can do that all day!" he told her. "It's always there no matter what direction you go in!"
"Never been drunk... don't like it" she whined. She looked around again. "Will the room stop spinning if I stand? It was spinning before, but it's still spinning down here."
She allowed him to help her back up. Chistery by now had found the pair and came flying over. She wasn't paying much attention though. With the alcohol letting down all of her inhibitions, she made a very stupid decision. Bringing one hand up to the side of Ford's face, she murmured, "You are so nice to me. That's why I really like you."
Elphie's brain suddenly snapped into place in a moment of perfect clarity. What the hell was she doing. She dropped her hand and stepped away from him, reaching for Chistery. "Great Oz, I'm... Ford... I'm so sorry... I have to be... um... somewhere else... now." And she half ran, half stumbled up way too many flights of stairs to her room, where she locked the door and resolutely decided to NEVER see or speak to Ford again. At least until she could get over him.
He waited until she closed the door and then took off again.

"Yeah, I'm pretty hoopy like that," he agreed, leading her towards the door.

"She doesn't hold her liquor well," he remarked, turning to admire the hoverskiff some more.
