Soooooo. I'm 8 weeks, 2 days today, and I had my first prenatal appointment. I was excited, because they'd do an ultrasound for me to make sure there was only ONE baby, hahaha

I'm sorry. :( This doesn't sound like good news at all.
Honestly, I'm surprised they're doing an ultrasound next week rather than doing a blood draw today and one on Monday to compare the hcg levels. Weird.
And I know they SAY that pregnancy symptoms are good, but when I miscarried I continued to have pregnancy symptoms until my body actually got rid of everything... which actually makes more sense seeing how my hcg levels remained high. They don't drop until AFTER a miscarriage and/or D&C.
All that being said, I'm still hopeful for you. Bummer that you have to wait an entire week. The dates were only off by 2 weeks, and aren't even early ultrasounds +/- 2 weeks as far as accuracy goes?
I have no idea what the +/- thing for ultrasounds is. The problem with it measuring 6 weeks is that it's too small to have a heartbeat yet, so it's hard to say anything positive. :\
She opted to do the ultrasound because she said the blood levels needed to be checked after 48 hours, so it'd be Sunday. Their office wouldn't be open so I'd have to go into the hospital. This way I can come in during normal business hours.
My mom felt really sick with all of us except for the time she miscarried. She said she wasn't too distraught over her miscarriage because it felt so different and she wasn't sick at all.
Also, when I went in with Carmen for my 10-week appointment they didn't detect a heartbeat so they sent me in for an ultrasound. She measured at 8 weeks instead of 10, and when we found out her gender they kept the 2 weeks later due date ... and she was born exactly 2 weeks early.
So that's a long way of saying, "If they say you're two weeks off, THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME."
{{reading through your comments}} I didn't know 6 weeks was too early to detect a heartbeat. :/ Good luck waiting. **sends e-loves from Washington**
I figure if you're still feeling sick, things'll be okay!
