speaking of clothes

My delemma as of late has been... age appropriate clothes... can you tell i've been watching TLC's what not to wear. I really need to take the time and go thru my entire closet. Things that I shouldn't be wearing (like mini-skirts) need to go to goodwill. I'm at that really weird stage where I want to be fashionable but fasionable for my age... ( Read more... )

Darling you could NEVER look frumpy! I went through my shirts just last week to weed out all the ones with stains and spots. Some of them were favorites, so I'm saving them for the gym and the garden. I don't think men understand the perils of having boobs. We HAVE to buy clothes more frequently!

I watch WNTW too occasionally - I used to like it but then it seemed like they were turning everyone into the same person... except the really stubbornly individual people....

But it's not so much a question of *age* as the *appropriate* part. You, my dear, can still get away with a miniskirt. But probably not a micromini. Something that hits halfway down the thigh or say 2" above the knee would be fine, though probably better if it's a fuller skirt (as opposed to a really thin pencil).

There are definitely ways to keep a look that feels young without being too young. The cut is important. And the most important thing is that if it doesn't feel good - don't do it!

you know.. I think I was really attributing the mini to a little tight tube.. but if I go for something that has fullness.. I just might be able to get away with that... your right.. and your definitely right about if it doesn't feel good don't do it... i've learned the hard way.. unless I love it and it's practical for my life.. I don't buy it... it would just sit in a drawer... LOVE your icon!!!!!!
