Not a big blue fire truck, alas, it's a little doohicky from Verizon which apparently I can take with me to Rwanda and still check my LJ. My modem gave out yesterday (again) and they were having a promotion so thought I'd give this a try - so far so good, seems quite zippy.
Got the verdict on Monday, my little frogmobile is indeed totaled :( So

Wow, I can't believe someone KNOCKED ON YOUR DOOR. WTF?!! It's a little dangerous to do that here in CO, with the Make My Day Law and all ^_^ (Ambulance Chasers, get off my porch!!! **BOOM**) Ok, really just joking, but how obnoxious for some guy to start knocking, unsolicited!
Don't let them talk you into signing anything, especially when it comes to your health! A friend of mine, her husband was in an accident (not his fault) and the insurance co tried to give him a flat $2000 and sign a waiver that he wasn't allowed to sue or ask for any more $$. Scumbags, they're everywhere!

We get solicitors around here every now and then, but this guy knew my name and everything O_O He wasn't pushy or obnoxious at all, but still, erk.
I won't, don't worry ^^ I don't have any sort of lingering pain of any sort, just the occasional woozy and ear ringing, and it seemed better today (I suspect it will improve a lot faster once I'm not totally stressed out by the car shopping), so I really think I'll be fine with a bit of time, but definitely waiting until I'm completely sure before I sign anything. Trust no one! *plays X-files music*

Glad you're going to the doctor anyway - always better safe than sorry! And wow. That is one seriously low trick by the insurance agency O_O Damn. Good thing you caught them out though! Fish-o-meter is accurate as ever *nodnod*

I usually avoid going to the doctor unless I'm seriously on my last gasp, lol, but especially with insurance involved I definitely want to check out any problems. Actually, the insurance company claims they never called me, so it was someone else pretending to be with them, sneaky sneaking people. Thank goodness for fish-o-meters!

That must have been a seriously scary and stressful experience, and a stressful nuisance to deal with all the paperwork, admin and replacements now. Good luck with the car hunting! Yes, internet shopping is a great thing. Hopefully you'll find the perfect one for you in no time.

Probably my least favorite thing to do - calling and talking on the phone to various agencies and salespeople and the like. Even with internet assistance, I've used more cell phone minutes in the last week than I normally use all year! Thankfully I think I've found a good car, not perfect (it's tan, not green), but pretty darn close and the price was right - finalizing everything tomorrow. I'm kinda looking forward to it, actually :)
