Homework and World's Cutest Niecelet

I watched the first several episodes of the original 90's Pokémon cartoon on Netflix today - studying up for a nature program we're doing next Saturday, comparing actual animals in the park with Pokémon critters, so totally work research, lol. Fun to watch, and parts of it are familiar now that I see it, probably caught some of it when it first ( Read more... )

Oh lordy, not sure what I've gotten myself into with this Pokemon park program - the big bosses are very excited, and have decided to promote it all over the place, and my "fun, small-scale family nature program" sounds more like a parkwide Pokemon party the way they're describing it, which...ok, fine, but requires some different planning on my part!

Another niecelet achievement unlocked - dismantle step stool! She knows how to undo nuts and bolts now. Both impressive and kinda frightening, lol

Wait until Niecelet stars serving real tea to her parties. That will be a fun hoot.
(course, not all daughters or sisters enjoy playing dress-up. Still, they are so adorable when they are the hostess)

90's Pokemon: Maybe the balls are a type of stasis field/healing chamber? I know I never thought about the show from the captured Pokemon's pov. (Or even wondered just WHY it was a fad to catch the alien-like digital creatures).
Thank you for waking up brain cells.

This niecelet hasn't quite gotten to tea, but she loves to dress up - she's got quite the fashion sense! Usually involving several layers (pants AND sorts AND a skirt), hats, and sunglasses!

It's cartoon world, and different rules may apply - maybe the Pokemon need to fight and be cared for by trainers in order to be truly happy? It's just hard not to draw some slightly uncomfortable parallels to dogfighting. Not uncomfortable enough to stop playing, but just a thing to be aware of, and to maybe bring up with kids on how we take care of real animals vs Pokemon.
